La Primavera

Consider our first Spring drop the (lucky) green light you needed to wear all the color you want. We’ve been so excited to show you what we have been working on these past few months: new silhouettes, swoonworthy combinations, and a full collection permeated by excitement, optimism and, above all, color—which is unapologetically back—for good! We never strayed from it—but it seemed as if fashion, for a moment, did exactly that and so this is our answer: color is back — bolder and more experimental than ever.

After the chill of winter and the quiet luxury phenomenon, we found ourselves craving shades like lilac, olive green, raspberry, mustard yellow, and yes, our own version of neutrals: soft camels and rich browns, all with the unmistakable Viani Milano twist. Our founder, an obsessive of colors and the transformative power they hold, can often be found pairing fabric swatches around the office or, famously, holding grocery items next to each other just to study the combinations. Needless to say, she is particularly thrilled with these nine pairs of shoes, each crafted with our girl-about-town in mind, but also with leisurely sunny days, gelato, and the kind of blooming beauty that makes the primavera worth waiting for.
Among the highlights: a new camel-hued Double Mary Jane— a Viani original that began as a happy accident in our Friuli workshop and ended up becoming our most beloved reference— this time with bold scarlet trimming. Another high note is the lilac and lavender Mary Janes we cannot wait to see styled by you. The velvet pink and green pair, destined to accompany our girls on countless trips, and our classic friulane slipper in the most delectable rosy pink—already on our feet, most notably with a navy blazer, white tee, and denim. Rounding out the collection is a denim blue velvet that works with just about anything: equally chic with jeans, floral dresses, or a clean all-white look come summer. And because some things should never go out of stock, we have also worked to bring back three of your all-time favorites: the Antonia, the Noemi and the Boboli among others. 

Spring marks the return of the friulane to their place of origin, Italy, where layers are finally shed, piazza strolls beneath the sun become an everyday ritual, and joy, the very best kind, returns along with the warmth. Italy is also at the heart of our brand identity, as is our love of color, visible everywhere from ancient frescoes to sun-drenched interiors to the effortlessly chic colorblocking of the sciure. This collection is, without a doubt, a love letter to an Italian Spring. We love every season, but this one holds something special,  and we hope you feel it too. We cannot wait to see you put your own spin on this first drop!
