A dreamy collection of irresistible footwear that seamlessly blends Viani Milano’s artisanal craftsmanship with Lilly’s unique style sensibility.

You have completely mastered the perfect balance of high and low in your style, incorporating unique vintage pieces with newer ones, in a way that feels unique, practical and never over-the-top. Tell us a little bit about how you come up with your looks.
I dress based on how I'm feeling for the day, so if it’s raining or cold outside, I will likely pair an oversized sweater with jeans and a pair of Vianis. If I'm feeling really girly, I might wear a miniskirt and something cute. Sometimes, I just want to wear something comfortable. How I dress depends on how I feel, but I always like mixing old and new together— I always have!
When we think of the Viani girl, the words ‘chic practicality’ are top-of-mind. As someone with a buzzing career in fashion who is constantly traveling between cities like New York, Palm Beach and Paris, what draws you to our friulane slippers?
I love that you can wear them anywhere. For travel, running around Paris, New York City and even Palm Beach, they work with every single outfit. You can wear them with dresses, jeans, shorts, for the beach and a meeting. You can truly wear them anywhere and that is why I love them so much.
The Lilly Sisto x Viani collaboration is a first for us and we couldn’t be happier to have partnered with our IT girl. Can you share how this partnership came to be, as well as any highlights of the creative process and overall collection?
I can’t remember now, but I think we found each other on Instagram and then was given a pair. It was honestly love at first sight between the two of us and I thought we just had to do a capsule together. The process has been so fun, from selecting the colors, playing with the textures and experimenting with contrasts. We knew that we wanted grosgrain and to use different fabrics so that they stood out from anything else that was out there. It has been such a fun experience!
When designing the capsule, the notion of transeasonal dressing was an important factor. Where and how will you be wearing these shoes?
Everywhere! It's about to be spring in New York City, so I can't wait to just continue wearing them with all of my outfits. I plan on bringing them on all my vacations this summer. One of the best things about them is that they fold down to nothing and are practically weightless.They really are the perfect travel shoe, because they just go with everything and fit easily in your suitcase and purse.
Your Italian heritage and overall aesthetic sensibility plays an important role in your wardrobe selections, as craftsmanship is very important to you. Why do you think it's important to support brands that have an artisanal element to them?
My family is Italian and I love that these shoes are made in Italy. It’s great to find shoes that are handmade by artisans, where quality is valued over quantity. The craftsmanship behind these slippers is incredible: they will not fall apart! I have worn mine down to the brim. The rubber sole is a plus. I am just so grateful and excited for this partnership and I can't wait to do more together!
